- Seele — Top single-target Quantum Hunt burst. Her Resurgence extra turn after a kill snowballs through waves and is amazing in pure fiction-style content.
- Kafka — The anchor of DoT teams. Not a raw single-target carry, but in a DoT core she enables the highest sustained damage in the game.

Harmony units are judged by how much total team damage they add and how universally they fit. Bronya is the standout, but she needs high Speed and a carry that benefits from action advance.

Sustains are ranked by how much they keep the team alive AND how much they add to damage. Fu Xuan stands out by sharing damage and granting team CRIT; March 7th is the best free shield.
- Fu Xuan — Quantum Preservation who redirects team damage to herself and grants team-wide CRIT Rate. Enables aggressive no-healer cores and boosts the whole squad's damage.
- March 7th — Free Ice shielder who shields the highest-aggro ally and can freeze. The default new-account sustain and pairs with any DPS.
Best F2P Team in Honkai: Star Rail 2026 — Free-to-Play Core
A fully free team built around Trailblazer + March 7th + Dan Heng clears most story and early endgame. It proves the core loop: a carry deals damage, a shielder keeps them alive, and a flexible Hunt unit adds single-target.
