Best 8 Fire Units in Honkai: Star Rail 2026
Fire's Burn break and the Super Break archetype make Fire the defining element of 2026. Firefly is the top Break DPS; Fugue is her enabler; Gallagher is the free Break healer.
How We Rank These
Fire units shine in Super Break teams (Firefly + Ruan Mei + Fugue + Gallagher). This list ranks the strongest Fire characters to build for Break and AoE.
Firefly
Fire Destruction Super Break DPS who ignores DEF and dominates AoE/Pure Fiction.
Watch out: Needs a Break core and high Break Effect.
Fugue
Fire Nihility who implants weaknesses and amplifies Super Break. The key Firefly enabler.
Watch out: Built for Super Break teams.
Topaz
Fire Nihility follow-up enabler (Numby) who boosts a single ally's follow-up damage.
Watch out: Best in follow-up attack teams.
Himeko
Free Fire Erudition AoE who triggers bonus hits on Burning/break enemies. Strong free starter.
Watch out: Lower ceiling than limited Erudition.
Asta
Free Fire Harmony who boosts team Speed and ATK. Excellent free buffer.
Watch out: Buffs fall off after her turn.
Gallagher
Free Fire Abundance who heals and deals Break damage — ideal Break-team sustain.
Watch out: Best inside Break teams.
Hook
Free Fire Destruction who bursts single targets and gains damage when hit.
Watch out: Wants a shielder to draw hits.
Guinaifen
Free Fire Nihility who applies Burn DoT and DEF shred. A good free debuffer.
Watch out: Lower ceiling than limited Nihility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Firefly for Fire content?
Firefly is the best Fire DPS by far for Super Break, but free units (Himeko, Hook, Gallagher) clear Fire-weak content without her.
What stats does Firefly want?
Break Effect% (250%+), ATK%, and Speed (150+). Do NOT build CRIT on her — Super Break ignores DEF instead.
