Super Break Teams in Honkai: Star Rail — Guide 2026

Super Break damage ignores a percentage of enemy DEF and scales with Break Effect and the attacker's level, not CRIT. Firefly plus Ruan Mei, Fugue, and Gallagher is the defining 2026 archetype for Pure Fiction and AoE content.

How Super Break Works

When a Broken enemy takes Break damage, Super Break adds a big DEF-ignoring hit that scales with Break Effect and character level. You do NOT build CRIT on these units — you stack Break Effect and Speed instead.

The Firefly Core

Firefly (DPS) + Ruan Mei (weakness efficiency, RES PEN) + Fugue (weakness implant, Super Break amp) + Gallagher (Break healer) is the premium core. Trailblazer (Harmony) can sub in for Ruan Mei on a budget.

Gearing for Break

Firefly wants Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge + Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern, ~250% Break Effect, and 150+ Speed. Boothill mirrors this for single-target with Talia: Kingdom of Banditry.
