Relics Explained: Honkai: Star Rail Artifact Guide

Relics are Star Rail's equivalent of artifact sets, plus a second layer called Planar Ornaments. Equipping two pieces of a set gives a 2-pc bonus; four gives a stronger 4-pc bonus. Core sets include Musketeer of Wild Wheat (ATK), Hunter of Glacial Forest (Ice/CRIT), Genius of Brilliant Stars (Quantum), and Prisoner in Deep Confinement (DoT).

2-pc vs 4-pc Bonuses

Like artifact sets elsewhere, Relics reward 2 or 4 matching pieces. A 2-pc bonus is usually a flat stat (ATK%, CRIT Rate, Element DMG); a 4-pc bonus is a conditional effect (ramp damage, team buff, DoT scaling). Mixing two different 2-pc bonuses is a common filler before a full 4-pc is farmed.

Carries: Musketeer of Wild Wheat (ATK) or Hunter of Glacial Forest (Ice/CRIT). Quantum DPS: Genius of Brilliant Stars. DoT: Prisoner in Deep Confinement. Harmony: Messenger Traversing Hackerspace (Speed). Sustain: Longevous Disciple (HP) or Knight of Purity Palace (DEF).

Planar Ornaments + Main Stats

Planar Ornaments are a second 2-pc layer (e.g. Rutilant Arena for crit carries, Broken Keel for supports). Carries want CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG / Element DMG main stats; supports want Speed / Effect RES; sustains want HP% / DEF%.
