DoT Teams in Honkai: Star Rail — Guide 2026

DoT teams stack Shock/Burn/Wind Shear/Arcana on the enemy and let Kafka detonate them for burst, then refresh. Kafka + Hysilens (plus a third DoT and a sustain) is the 2026 version of the archetype, strongest in long boss fights.

How DoT Works

Each DoT ticks on the enemy's turn; Kafka's Skill/Ultimate instantly detonates every active DoT for a burst, then the cycle repeats. More unique DoTs = bigger detonations, so stack different elements.

Building the Team

Kafka (detonator) + Hysilens (Lightning DoT) + a third DoT appliers (Fire/Wind) + a sustain. Prisoner in Deep Confinement and Firmament Frontline: Glamoth are the standard gear; stack ATK% and Effect Hit Rate.

When to Play DoT

DoT shines in long, single-boss fights where ticks compound. It is slower to ramp than hypercarry burst but very safe and sustained once online.
