Kafka DoT vs Firefly Super Break: Sustained vs Burst 2026
DoT (Kafka + Hysilens) stacks damage-over-time and detonates for sustained damage that compounds in long boss fights. Super Break (Firefly + Ruan Mei + Fugue) ignores DEF and bursts whole waves, dominating AoE and Pure Fiction. Choose DoT for bosses, Break for AoE.

Stack multiple DoTs, detonate with Kafka, refresh; damage compounds over time.
Pros:
- Highest sustained boss damage
- Safe, low-risk rotation
- Strong vs tanky elites
Cons:
- Slow ramp
- Weak in short AoE waves
- Needs several DoT units
Rotation: Apply DoTs -> detonate -> refresh
Super Break (Firefly core)
Team: Firefly + Ruan Mei + Fugue + Gallagher
Exploit breaks, stack Break Effect, Super Break whole waves for DEF-ignoring damage.
Pros:
- Dominant in AoE / Pure Fiction
- DEF-ignoring burst
- Fast clear speed
Cons:
- Less sustained vs long bosses
- Weak vs Fire-immune
- High Break Effect requirement
Rotation: Implant -> Ultimate -> Super Break
Verdict
Run both if you can. Default DoT for single-boss endurance, Super Break for AoE speed. Most endgame rosters want one of each.
