Bronya Action-Advance vs No Harmony: The Turn-Economy Multiplier
Bronya advances an ally's action and buffs their CRIT DMG, effectively giving the carry a second turn each rotation. For hypercarry units like Jingliu and Seele, this roughly doubles their damage output and lets them act before the enemy more often. Without a Harmony support, the same carry simply takes fewer, un-buffed turns.
With Bronya (Harmony) vs No Harmony
With Bronya (Harmony)
Team: Carry + Bronya + Sustain
Bronya acts first (high Speed), uses Skill to advance the carry and buff CRIT DMG, then the carry takes an extra, buffed turn.
Pros:
- Doubles the carry's effective turns
- CRIT DMG buff multiplies all their damage
- Better action order vs enemies
Cons:
- Bronya needs very high Speed
- One slot is 'spent' on support
- Low personal damage
Rotation: Bronya Skill on carry -> carry extra turn (buffed) -> sustain/Ultimate as needed
No Harmony
Team: Carry + two damage/sustain units
The carry acts on its normal cadence with no advance or CRIT buff — fewer, un-buffed turns per cycle.
Pros:
- More team flexibility (extra DPS/sustain slot)
Cons:
- Far fewer carry turns per cycle
- No CRIT DMG multiplier
- Lower total team damage for hypercarries
Rotation: Generic carry rotation, no advance
Verdict
For hypercarry teams, Bronya's action-advance + CRIT buff almost always beats a second DPS. The turn-economy multiplier is the foundation of Star Rail's best teams.
